Domaschyr ( Ukrainian Домажир ; Russian Домажир Domaschir , Polish Domażyr ) is a village in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 700 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1240, is the administrative center of the 34.2 km² district council of the same name in the east of Jaworiw Rajon , which also includes the villages of Koschytschi ( Кожичі , ⊙ ) with about 550 inhabitants, Schornyska ( Жорниська , ⊙ ) with about 350 Inhabitants and Seliv ( Зелів , ⊙ ) with about 250 inhabitants.
Domaschyr lies on the bank of the 24 km long river of the same name ( Домажир ), 37 km west of the district center Jaworiw and 16 km east of the oblast center Lviv . The Domaschyr bear sanctuary is located near the village, which enables bears that are poorly kept to be housed appropriately. The M 10 trunk road runs south of the village .
