Domenico Guadalupi

Domenico Guadalupi (born September 17, 1811 in Brindisi , † May 11, 1878 ) was an Italian clergyman and archbishop of Salerno .

Life

He received the in Rome on September 23, 1837 sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 16, 1842, he entered the service of the Curia and on June 21 of the same year became Pontifical House Prelate and Apostolic Protonotary . Pope Pius IX Appointed Domenico Guadalupi on November 16, 1854 to the Council Congregation , in 1855 as Consultor of the Congregation for Extraordinary Ecclesiastical Affairs, then as Apostolic Delegate for Orvieto, on June 16, 1856 as Delegate for Spoleto and for Civitavecchia.

On May 6, 1872, Domenico Guadalupi was appointed Archbishop of Salerno. Five years later, on January 8, 1877, he resigned to the bishopric, his resignation was accepted by Rome on March 8 of the same year.
