Dominick Muermans

Dominick Muermans (born July 17, 1984 in Geleen ) is a Dutch racing driver .

Career

Muermans began his motorsport career in 2005 in formula racing . He finished eleventh in the Dutch Formula Renault and 21st in the German Formula Renault. In 2006 the Dutchman competed for Van Amersfoort Racing in the German Formula 3 Cup . He finished 21st in the overall ranking. He also took his team on a race weekend of the Formula 3 Euro Series in part and was 29th in the drivers' standings. In 2007 , Muermans competed for Ombra Racing in the International Formula Masters . His teammate was Johnny Cecotto Jr. While Cecotto had finished eighth with several podiums, the Dutchman scored one point and finished the season in 28th. He also took part in two races of the Atlantic Championship and finished 28th overall. In the middle of the season, Muermans also returned to the German Formula 3 Cup. He regularly scored points and was tenth overall. He was also a guest starter in two races in the British Formula 3 Championship .

In 2008 the Dutchman took part in the entire Atlantic Championship season for Condor Motorsports . With a fifth place as the best result, he finished 14th overall. He lost to his teammate and compatriot Junior Strous , who was fifth. He also took part in a racing weekend in the first season of the Superleague Formula for the Al Ain Club team , which was overseen by Azerti Motorsport . In 2009 , Muermans started the Superleague Formula season for the PSV Eindhoven team, which was supervised by Azerti . After failing to rank among the top ten drivers on the first three race weekends, he was replaced by his compatriot Carlo van Dam . In 2010, Muermans did not take part in any racing series.
