Dominik Scheil (born December 12, 1989 in Braunschweig ) is a German soccer player who currently plays for the national division FC Braunschweig Süd .

Career

Scheil began his career at TSV Vordorf . He went to VfL Wolfsburg via MTV Gifhorn . In 2005 he joined Eintracht Braunschweig , where his father Heinz-Günter Scheil used to play. In the 2007/08 season Dominik Schiel played 23 times in the A-youth team in the U-19 Bundesliga and scored one goal. He also played twice in the second team of Braunschweig in 2007/08 .

For the 2008/09 season , Scheil joined Fatih Yilmaz in the professional training camp. He made his debut on matchday 9 against Dynamo Dresden (1: 1) when he came on for Fait-Florian Banser in the 90th minute . Before that, Scheil was twice in the team's squad against Kickers Offenbach (4: 0) and 1. FC Union Berlin (1: 1). In the second team he played 29 times and scored one goal.

For the 2009/10 season Dominik Scheil followed his father to the national division SSV Kästorf 1922 . The reason he gave for leaving professional football was that he wanted to concentrate on his training as an industrial mechanic at Volkswagen . In 2014 Scheil moved to the newly promoted regional league FC Braunschweig Süd.
