Dominik Wagner (cabaret artist)

Dominik Wagner (born November 11, 1985 in Munich ) is a German cabaret artist , author and director . Together with Benedikt Zeitner, he founded the music-cabaret duo Ass-Dur in 2006 .

Life

Dominik Wagner grew up in Graefelfing near Munich . He learned violin and piano at an early age. He won prizes at Jugend musiziert at an early age . After graduating from the Kurt-Huber-Gymnasium, in 2005 he began studying music theater directing at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin . There he met Benedikt Zeitner, with whom he founded the music-cabaret duo Ass-Dur in 2006 , with whom he is still on tour in Germany and Switzerland.

In 2013, together with Jörn-Felix Alt, he directed the world premiere of his first musical “Feet back” in the Kupferhaus Planegg. In the same year, also in collaboration with Alt, the premiere of “Sarg nie nie” followed at the Neukölln Opera in Berlin , for which he wrote the libretto .
