Dominique Schaefer (born January 7, 1999 in Lima ) is a Peruvian tennis player .

Career

Schaefer started playing tennis at the age of six and prefers hard courts. She primarily plays on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has not yet won a title.

In 2016 she competed in the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open in the junior singles and with changing partners in the junior doubles, but was always eliminated in the first round.

At the South American Games in 2018 she reached the last sixteen in the women's singles and the quarterfinals with her partner Anastasia Iamachkine in the women's doubles . At the Pan American Games in 2019 she also reached the second round in the women's singles and the quarterfinals in the women's doubles with partner Dana Guzmán .

Schaefer played for the Peruvian Fed Cup team in 2015 , 2016 and 2017 . Of her total of 12 games, she won five in three lost games; in doubles there are two wins and two defeats.
