The women's singles of the Pan American Games 2019 was a tennis competition in Lima .
Field of participants
A 32 field was planned. The hosts Peru were allowed to provide three players. The finalists of the South American Games 2018 and the Central American and Caribbean Games 2018 qualified directly . The latter two Mónica Puig and Mariana Duque Mariño (the defending champion had meanwhile ended her career) did not take part. The remaining participants were selected according to the WTA world rankings and the ITF World Tennis Tour rankings, with each country being allowed to provide a maximum of three players. There were also three wildcards, with the intention of allowing interested countries to participate at least one player (in this case Bolivia and Grenada ) or to allow a double. The qualified Chilean Alexa Guarachi did not take part in the individual competition, which reduced the number of participants to 31.
