Donald Graham Burt

Donald Graham Burt is an American art director and production designer who won both the Oscar and the British Academy Film Award (BAFTA Film Award) and the Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild , for The Strange Case of Benjamin Button (2008) won the SDFCS Award and the WAFCA Award .

Life

Burt began his career as an art director and production designer in the Hollywood film industry in 1993 for the film Daughters of Heaven and has worked on the staging of 15 films to this day.

For The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) by director David Fincher with Brad Pitt , Cate Blanchett , and Taraji P. Henson in the leading roles he received along with Victor J. Zolfo at the Academy Awards 2009 Oscar for Best Production Design, as well as the British Academy Film Awards 2009 the BAFTA Film Award for Best Production Design . In addition, he and Zolfo and their staff received the Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG) in 2009 . He was also honored with the San Diego Film Critics Society (SDFCS Award) and the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA Award) alone . He was also nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Production Design with Tom Reta .

In 2011 he was nominated for another Excellence in Production Design Award with Curt Beech , Carl Sprague and Keith P. Cunningham for the film The Social Network (2010) by David Fincher with Jesse Eisenberg , Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake .
