The Danube Arena was expanded from March 2015 for 2.3 million euros. On the west side, new function rooms were created on 700 m² in order to be able to better separate the sports and concert events, as capacity limits had been reached. The teams of EV Regensburg received permanent cubicles and, together with EC Regensburg, new office space. In addition, omissions from the years of construction have been made up, among other things, ticket booths have now been built. With the start of the playoffs of the 2015/16 season , some standing places in the guest area and thus the total capacity were reduced from 4,961 to 4,863 for safety reasons.
