The Donwerbach is a 9.4 km long left and west tributary of the Moselle .

The Donwerbach rises south of Flaxweiler at an altitude of about 310 m. It flows first to the west. At Buchholz , around which it flows to the south, it changes its direction to the southwest, flows west past Oberdonven and then crosses Niederdonven , finally flowing into the Moselle at Ahn .

The Donwerbach is a carbonate low mountain range rich in fine material. It has a natural headwater body and its water development ability is rated as good.
