The Doppler Nunatak is a 1450 m high nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises southwest of Mount Mende in the Sky-Hi-Nunatakkern .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1988 after the Austrian mathematician and physicist Christian Doppler (1803-1853), who discovered the Doppler effect named after him .
