Ben Mühlethaler is a Swiss composer , audio engineer , remixer and music producer .
Career
At the age of eight, Mühlethaler began taking classical piano lessons. At the age of 14 he began to be interested in recording and to compose. In 1999 he opened his first professional recording studio in Bern. Mühlethaler uses style elements from different genres and subcultures.
He is the owner of B-Note Entertainment GmbH (founded in 2000) and has published 600 publications. His works are published by SonyATV / EMI. He works with and for the artists Avesta, Aura Dione , Craig David , Jennifer Paige , Jamie Lewis, Müslüm , Manu-L , Prince , Remady , Seven , Tarja Turunen and Todd Terry .
Publications
From 2001 Mühlethaler brought his first club hits (including Remady ft. Tylene “Groovething”) and also some works in the pop / rock genre (including Tarja Turunen) as well as film music (“World on fire” and the Oscar-nominated short film “On the line ")
In 2009 he achieved the international breakthrough with No Superstar together with Remady with top chart placements in France, gold in Denmark, as well as gold and platinum in Switzerland. With Remady feat. Manu-L Give me a sign was followed by the next gold single (Switzerland) which again made it into the top 10 in France. With Remady feat. Craig David Do it on my own and Remady The way we are hit the next songs with heavy rotation in Europe. Since 2010 Ben Mühlethaler has been in the publishing department of EMI Music Publishing Germany.
In 2011 a collaboration with Aura Dione followed. The track Where The Wild Roses Grow was released on the album Dinosaurs (Gold in Austria). Together with Laidback Luke, Mühlethaler and Avesta (2011) released the song Dutchano . The second track was released by Tiësto . The track is sponsored and played by the DJs David Guetta , Benny Benassi , Tiësto.
In 2012 Mühlethaler achieved several successes. With Remady & Manu-L feat. J-Son Single Ladies , he released a 1st single for the hit album The Original . Within a few weeks, the single was awarded gold, platinum in Switzerland and was number 1 in the charts for a month. At the Eska Music Awards in Poland, the single was nominated for the "greatest international hit". The album "the Original" immediately made it to number 3 in the Swiss charts.
He also made chart entry with music comedian Müslüm . The single Süpervitamin made it into the top ten and was awarded gold, and the album of the same name, Süpervitamin , reached number 3 in the Swiss charts.
In 2012 remixes followed together with Remady of international hits like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Shaggy Feat. Eve , Example Kick Start or Endless Summer by Oceana (Official EURO UEFA Song 2012) are among the highlights of 2012.
In 2013 Mühlethaler u. a. Productions by Prince and 3rdEyeGirl ( PlectrumElectrum ) at Paisley Park Studios. With Remady & Manu-L “Hollidays” he had his next summer hit, the single went double platinum in Switzerland. He then took part in "In my Dreams", another hit by Remady & Manu-L. In 2014, Mühlethaler worked on Seven's next albums, "Back Funk Love Soul", Müslüm "Apochalypt, and on the debut album by David Charles. A few bangers were released with Avesta in 2014. Together with newcomer Juli-Lee, the two developed their own style, which is probably most likely in the genre House is to be placed and worked as a team for Todd Terry remix.
In 2017 Ben Mühlethaler was nominated for the Grammy Awards 2017 in the category “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical” (“Best mix of an album, apart from classical”) for the Prince album HItnRUN Phase Two , but did not win. David Bowie received the award posthumously for his album Blackstar .
In 2018 various albums were produced by Ben Mühlethaler and co-composed, among others with Baze , the album "Gott" was released, with Steff la cheffe the No. 1 album "Herz Step Macherin".
