Victories

The Dorade wrote Yacht history and became the sailing legend: it has to have won the reputation of all the important races in the world in their time.

In 1930 Dorade took second place in the Bermuda Race .
In 1931 she won the transatlantic regatta as the smallest participating ship and the Fastnet Race in the same year .
In 1932 she won the Bermuda Race.
In 1933 she won the Fastnet Race for the second time.
In 1936 she won the Transpacific Yacht Race .

Dorade fan

Rod Stephens designed a water-separating fan for sailing yachts, which was used for the first time on the Dorade . The fan is known worldwide today under the name Dorade fan and is one of the standard devices on ocean-going yachts.
