Doreen Engel (born February 8, 1982 in Schwerin ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Engel began her career as a teenager at Schweriner SC . Her parents Cornelia Rickert (Olympian 1976) and Peter Engel played for SC Traktor Schwerin during the GDR era. At the age of fifteen she moved to Dresdner SC . In her first season in the Bundesliga team she won the DVV Cup and the German runner-up in 2002 . In 2005 she moved to USC Münster , with whom she again reached the final in the DVV Cup . In the summer of 2009, the player went to the Austrian European Cup participant SVS Post Wien , but during the winter break she returned to the Bundesliga for Köpenicker SC . In 2011 she was hired by Smart Allianz Stuttgart . In 2012 she moved to SC Potsdam , where she ended her career in 2015.
