The village church in Bülow, a district of Schorssow in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , dates back to the 13th century. The parish belongs to the Rostock provost in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany ( Northern Church ).

The church is a field stone building with a retracted square choir and a transverse rectangular west tower. The gable and building decor are made of brick . The choir is spanned by a ribbed vault. The tower top was probably not added until the 15th century, later the additions to the north of the choir followed: the sacristy and the crypt of the von Moltke family .

The church was renovated in 1894. The historical furnishings such as the pulpit, patronage stalls and altarpiece are also from the 19th century. In 1989 the roof of the church was re-covered with funds from the EKD and the then partner parish in Wallerstein. In 2004 the interior was renovated with the support of the Rudolf August Oetker Foundation .

In the absence of historical objects, the wall designs are particularly important in the church. The inner walls are covered by at least three layers of paint. Historical layers have been exposed in some places. Above the so-called priest's gate there is a stone decorated with a checkerboard pattern, the meaning of which is still unknown.

The church, whose historical stalls are still awaiting renovation, will be opened in summer and a. also used as a practice and concert room for youth music groups.

By Paul Schmidt was 1,790 organ (I / 10) built the completed set his journeyman Johann Schmidt from Malchin. The inauguration took place on January 10, 1790. As early as 1884, the organ builder Carl Börger from Gehlsdorf carried out a reconstruction in which the entire interior was renewed.
