The church

The listed Evangelical-Lutheran village church Brattendorf is located in the Brattendorf district of the Auengrund community in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

history

In 1926 the secular congregation began building a chapel near the cemetery because they did not own a church. This building was generously designed and gradually a stately church developed from the building . It was inaugurated on July 10, 1928 and later given to the parish for free use.

Architecture and equipment

The church is a neo-Romanesque building with a large hipped roof . The interior is also kept in this architectural style. Galleries and benches provide plenty of seating for believers and guests. The altar and the wooden font were created when the church was built. White and light gray tones shape the room.

The organ was installed in 1974 by the Rudolf Böhm organ building workshop from Gotha . It has five registers and a manual .
