The village church Chursdorf is located in the district Chursdorf of the municipality Dittersdorf in the Saale-Orla-Kreis in Thuringia .

location

The church is located in the Schleizer Oberland on a mountain in the hilly landscape around Schleiz and Bad Lobenstein and in the Thuringian Slate Mountains . The federal highway 9 passes to the west .

history

The church was built in 1722. A Dutch painter adorned it with rococo paintings around 1770 . A special feature is the richly decorated stalls on which families sit for generations in seats numbered for them. In the 18th century, whey and egg white were used to bring the blue color to wood.

organ

The small rococo organ from 1713 was built by the organ builder Johann Paul Trampel from Adorf in the Vogtland.

The organ was built in the country organ maker style. It has ten registers plus tremulant and Zimbelstern and is painted blue and white in Delft tile painting. The Chursdorf organ vespers take place on this organ every Wednesday during the summer months .
