The village church Groß Laasch is the church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish Groß Laasch in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district . The community belongs to the Parchim provost in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany ( Northern Church ).

history

Laasch, formerly also Laceke or Lazeke , was already mentioned as a church village during the tenure of Bishop Gottschalk from 1229 to 1235 in a confirmation document from Bishop Konrad von Ratzeburg about the archdeaconate Eldena. In economic documents from 1335/44 it is called a "sand parish", ie with a low income. In 1369 the pastor of Groß Laasch was urged by the provost Heinrich Kolbow to take action against wood theft with ecclesiastical penalties. According to a visitation protocol from 1534, the branch churches of Groß Laasch were the churches in Karstädt and Klenow. From 1523 to 1541 Jochim Voss the owner of the church fief to him by was Henry V was passed. The position of the church Klenow, later Ludwigslust , as a daughter church of Groß Laasch ended in 1776.

Building description and equipment

The church of Groß Laasch was built in 1791 as a single-nave brick building closed on three sides after the previous building, a field stone church, had become dilapidated. An eight - sided lattice tower was placed over the west gable . The bell bears the inscription Come, because everything is ready.

The inside of the church is provided with a beamed ceiling, on the west side there is a gallery with an organ from the organ builder Friedrich Friese III from 1885. The prospect pipes were installed in 1928 by the organ builder Marcus Runge (Schwerin) as a replacement for the pipes delivered in 1917 . The originally existing Octave 2 'was replaced by an Aeoline 8'. The abrasive loading -instrument has 6 registers to a manual drive (Cc 3 : Principal 8 ', Gedackt 8', Flute 8 ', Gamba 8', Octave 4 ', Aeoline 8'). The pedal (C – c 1 ) is attached.

The interior furnishings include a simple, wooden pulpit altar and a wrought-iron baptismal frame, made by the Ludwigslust blacksmith Niems. The altar and baptismal stand were made during the church building period. The baptismal frame bears a brass baptismal bowl from 1576. An equestrian figure of St. George has been preserved from the previous church.

The church building and the dry stone wall surrounding the churchyard are on the district's architectural monument list.
