Groß Schönebeck village church
The Protestant village church Groß Schönebeck (also: Immanuelkirche ) is a baroque hall church in the district Groß Schönebeck of the community Schorfheide in the district of Barnim in Brandenburg . It belongs to the parish of Groß Schönebeck in the Barnim parish of the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia and can be viewed after registration.
History and architecture
The Immanuelkirche, as it has been called since October 8, 1989, with special ties to the partner parish of Styrum in North Rhine-Westphalia, was built between 1664 and 1673. It is an elongated, rectangular plastered building, the square west tower of fieldstone from a previous building from the late 14th century. The west tower received the half-timbered tower and tail hood in 1730. The tower has two paired sound openings on each side of the bell storey, in which three bells from 1655, 1682 and 1732 hang. Inside the church has a flat plastered ceiling with a stucco molding. The gallery is circumferential and supported by columns. The gallery on the east side of the church has two floors.
Furnishing
The wooden pulpit altar dates from the second half of the 18th century. On each side of the pulpit altar has an Ionic column in flat wood relief work . The pulpit has five sides, and in the middle field (front) there is a painted representation of the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God).
The cast iron baptism was created in 1829. In 2003, the descendants of the Reyher family commissioned the blacksmith Wilfried Schuchow from Angermünde to restore the baptism. It was put back into service for Easter 2004. In the middle of the nave there are two brass chandeliers that were made in the second half of the 19th century.
The parapet fields of the circumferential gallery, which, like the pulpit altar and the church stalls, were probably created in the second half of the 18th century, are marbled .
In 1990 the Immanuelkirche received a new bell system. In addition, the bench heating was renewed and the sponge renovation on the ceiling was completed. Secular concerts have been held regularly in the church since 2008. Guests here included Kieran Goss, Mike Brosnan, Vicente Patiz, Bayon , Mairi Campbell and Julian Dawson . The proceeds are partly used to maintain the church.
In front of the church there is a pyramid-shaped war memorial for the Groß Schönebeck men who fell in the two world wars.
organ
An organ from 1749 stands on the swinging west gallery. It has a prospectus with rocailles , a manual , pedal and 12 stops . About the game table is an inscription on the origin of the instrument - provides information - 1749th The predecessor of the current organ had become unusable in 1746. That is why the then Groß Schönebecker parish decided on a new building, which after failed negotiations with the Brandenburg organ builder Joachim Wagner was finally built by his pupil, the Ruppin organ builder Gottlieb Scholtze . The organ was renovated in 1824 and 1843 by Johann Gottlieb Heise. A renovation took place in 1878 by Albert Hollenbach . In 2009 the organ was restored by the Schuke organ building company .
