Hellborn village church

The Hellborn village church is located in the Hellborn district of the Renthendorf municipality in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the regional parish Tälerdörfer in the Eisenberg parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The church and the cemetery are on a north slope south above the village.

In 1825 the previous building, at that time a branch church of Renthendorf, was demolished and rebuilt. The hall church with an eastern roof tower was built . It has a curly hood and a lantern .

The interior is classicistic. There are echoes of the baroque appearance. The three-sided galleries stand on pillars. The pulpit altar with semicircular pilasters and a pair of columns. The baptismal frame is wooden. The lid attachment serves as a desk. The organ by Heinrich Schilling from Weida was installed in 1829. The bells were melted down during the First World War . In 1929 steel bells were bought. They are placed in the bell house above the church.
