history

The village church with a Romanesque choir and semicircle as well as a triumphal arch and built-up church tower has a Latin cross on the east side just above the apse . The churchyard is surrounded by a wall.

From 1765 to 1767 the church was partly rebuilt.

The octagonal tower has a tail dome with a tabernacle attachment .

The pews are from the 18th century and have carvings on the dark wood on the cheeks reminiscent of the South Seas. The baptismal font and basin were then in the churchyard . They were from the desert of Seifartsdorf . The baptismal angel was then found in an attic.

The pulpit from the 18th century is framed by two columns and has a sound cover . Gravestones and the chandelier decorate the hall.

The bells were cast in Apolda in 1779 and 1881 .
