history
The previous building of the Welkershausen Church burned down in 1634 during the Thirty Years' War . The foundation stone of the unadorned village church took place on July 17, 1724. Master mason Daniel Schaubach was commissioned with the construction. The church was consecrated on November 25, 1728. It has a hexagonal roof turret with two tail domes on the ridge and half-timbering on the gable bay window. The interior of the church, on the other hand, has become a piece of jewelry through the painting. The paintings on the ceiling are from 1728. The house of worship is rarely used, mostly as a summer church or on high church holidays.
