Doriana Leondeff

Doriana Leondeff (* 1962 in Bari ) is an Italian screenwriter .

Doriana Leondeff was born the daughter of a Bulgarian and an Italian. Already in her youth she had first contacts to the theater at the youth theater Kismet . After graduating from high school, she studied at the film school in London for a year. She then moved to Rome, where she still lives today.

In Rome she gained her first experience as an assistant director with the directors Peter del Monte and Emir Kusturica . Since 1988 she has mainly focused on writing. She began with small series for television and scripts for short films. After all, she worked with directors such as Nicola Badalucco , Paolo Poeti , Rodolfo Sonego , Marco Leto , Marco Turco , Claudio Del Punta , Rossella Izzo and Mimmo Caopresti .

In 1997 she wrote the script for the short film Misterio a biasca for Silvio Soldini . This first successful collaboration with this director led to the next film Pane E Tulipane , which was shot in 2000 and received numerous awards.
