action

Agata, a bookseller with an inner energy that can blow light bulbs and computers or traffic lights, falls in love with a much younger man. Her supposed brother Gustavo, a well-off architect, suddenly learns that he has been adopted. In the person of Romeo, her real brother, the family now has a new member. Romeo, a fashion salesman who is after every skirt in his private life, but loves his paralyzed wife more than anything, brings a lot of momentum into the lives of the two “siblings” with his enterprising spirit. Gustavo separates from his wife, who as a marriage counselor on television can save any marriage, but destroys her own in real life. He neglects his architecture office and enjoys planning an excursion paradise around a trout pond with Romeo. Agata is the linchpin in this cheerful, colorful summer comedy that also touches on serious topics.

criticism

"Silvio Soldini's Agata and the Storm makes you happy at first sight, makes you leave the cinema elated."

“Episodically interwoven family history with numerous bizarre characters, colorfully and sensually staged. Tensions, downsides and emotional shallows are not explored, so that the comedy is a bit flat. "

- International film lexicons

“Amusing evening entertainment is definitely the stormy and amiable hubbub around Agata and her intricate relationships. Because the problems and problems, the little tragedies and the heartache, all the little storms of life that life has in store are packed lightly and colorfully by Soldini, as if the director wanted to say: Don't take everything so incredibly important!
