Arnaldo Catinari (born January 9, 1964 in Bologna ) is an Italian cameraman and short film director.

Life

Catinari studied at the University of Florence Architecture and occupied from 1983 courses for camera at the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Carlo Di Palma and Giuseppe Lanci . From 1985 he worked intensively as a cameraman for short films, including many successful works by the youngest generation of filmmakers in the 20th century . Since the mid-1990s he has photographed numerous feature films ; his filmography until 2010 includes almost 70 works. He also preferred short films as a director, before presenting his first and so far only full-length film in 1992, Dall'altra parte del mondo .

Catinari has already been nominated five times for the David di Donatello , as often as for the Nastro d'Argento , but so far - in contrast to a Nastro - has not won any. He has received several awards at film festivals.
