Waipapa Bay is a small settlement in the Kaikoura District of Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand .

geography

The settlement is located around 33 km northeast of Kaikoura and around 72 km south of Blenheim on the south bank and estuary of the Clarence River in the Pacific Ocean . The New Zealand State Highway 1 runs through the settlement, as does the South Island Main Trunk Railway .
