Doris Berger-Grabner

Doris Berger Grabner (* 31 October 1978 as Doris Berger in St. Poelten ) is an Austrian economist and politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since January 31, 2019, she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Lower Austria state parliament .

Life

Doris Berger-Grabner graduated from the Bundesrealgymnasium Rechts Kremszeile in Krems an der Donau in 1996 . She then studied business education and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), completing her master's degree in 2001. In 2005 she completed her doctorate at WU with a dissertation on lifestyle-oriented purchasing decision behavior . Since 2005 she has been a professor in the Business Department at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems , and since 2008 she has also been an external lecturer at the University for Continuing Education Krems . Doris Berger-Grabner is the mother of two children.

politics

She is the deputy chairwoman of the local ÖVP group in Krems-Mitte. From 2006 to 2009 she was the deputy district board member of the Young Economy district of Krems. She ran for the ÖVP in the National Council elections in 2008 and in the municipal council elections in 2012 and 2017 in the statutory city of Krems. Since January 31, 2019, she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Lower Austria state parliament . She succeeded Sandra Kern , who resigned from her mandate. In the national elections in 2019 , she is running for the People's Party of Lower Austria in the provincial constituency of Lower Austria in sixth place.

At the end of February 2020, she was nominated as the successor to Petra Bohuslav as regional director of the ÖVP Women Lower Austria.
