Dorothea Friederike von Brandenburg-Ansbach (* August 12, 1676 in Ansbach ; † March 13, 1731 in Hanau ) was the daughter of Margrave Johann Friedrich von Brandenburg-Ansbach (* 1654; † 1686) and his first wife, Johanna Elisabeth von Baden Durlach. Dorothea Friederike was at the same time half-sister of Queen Caroline of Great Britain , the wife of King George II.

On 20./30. August 1699, Dorothea Friederike married Count Johann Reinhard III. von Hanau and became the last Countess of Hanau . The marriage resulted in a daughter: Charlotte Christine Magdalene Johanna (* 1700; † 1726). She was the sole heiress of the County of Hanau and married Prince Ludwig (VIII.) Of Hesse-Darmstadt (* 1691; † 1768) on April 5, 1717 .

After her death on March 13, 1731, Dorothea Friederike was buried on March 17 or 25, 1731 in the family crypt of the Hanau counts in the Lutheran Church (today: Alte Johanneskirche) in Hanau. The tomb was largely destroyed in the bombing of the Second World War.
