Dorothy Dickson (born July 25, 1893 Kansas City , Missouri , † September 25, 1995 in London ) was a British actress .

Dickson was considered a great star of London theater. She was best known for her interpretation of a song by Jerome Kern , Look for the Silver Lining . She was also a member of the Ziegfeld Follies for a long time and performed in New York.

With her husband Carl Hyson, from whom she was divorced in 1936, she had the daughter Dorothy Hyson (1914-1996), also an actress, who was married to the British actor Anthony Quayle .
