Ballground Hoeschpark in the beginning

The Dortmund Wanderers are a Dortmund baseball and softball club . The club's first men's team currently plays in the first division baseball . The association was founded in 1989 in the Aplerbeck district . The Wanderers' home stadium is now the newly designed Hoeschpark in the north of Dortmund.

In 2007 the team was able to achieve a total of five championship titles in baseball and two runner-up titles in softball in the various classes. The men's first team was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. The women’s team won promotion to the 1st softball league , but waived.

In 2009, the men's first team managed to reach the play-offs with a fourth place in the Bundesliga North.
