action

Pierre works as a waiter in a bakery. When his clumsiness causes him to annoy customers, he is first put down to wash the dishes. But even here it is out of place and ends up in the bakery. Slender Pierre, however, has just as hard time among the rough-and-tumble bakers. But when the bakers demand more money for their work, this is refused by the owner and they go on strike, Pierre becomes the baker. The bakers consider him a strike breaker and want revenge. They fill a loaf of bread with dynamite and smuggle it into the bakery through a little girl. Mme. La Vie brings it to Pierre in the bakery to bake and he puts it in the oven. When his wife visits Pierre in the bakery, Mr La Vie becomes completely beside himself and pursues Pierre in maddened jealousy. Finally, the dynamite explodes in the oven and Pierre is showered with the prepared dough as a result of the explosion.
