content

Downtown Switzerland combines footage shot by four different filmmakers between autumn 2003 and spring 2004 into a report about the city of Zurich . In a period of hardening of the political fronts - symbolized by the election of Christoph Blocher to the Federal Council - the film shows the diversity of the economic and cultural metropolis of Zurich. The film title refers to the advertising slogan “Zurich Downtown Switzerland”, under which the city was advertised at the time.
