Dowschanka ( Ukrainian Довжанка ; Russian Должанка Dolschanka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Odessa Oblast with about 850 inhabitants (2001).
The village founded at the beginning of the 19th century (another source mentions the year 1824) is the administrative center of the 78.02 km² district council of the same name in Okny district , which also includes the villages of Artyriwka ( Артирівка ), Halotschi ( Галочі ), Illja ( Ілля ) and Odaji ( Одаї ) belong.
The village is near the border with the breakaway region of Transnistria of the Republic of Moldova on the banks of the Jahorlyk ( Ягорлик ), a 73 km long tributary of the Dniester , 10 km southwest of the Okny district center and 180 km northwest of the Odessa oblast center .
The M 13 / E 584 trunk road runs about 4 km south of the village.
