The Drôme is a river in France that runs predominantly in the Calvados department in the Normandy region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Martin-des-Besaces , generally drains in a northerly direction and flows into the Aure as a left tributary after 58 kilometers below Maisons . An oxbow lake of the Drôme flows into the Aure a few hundred meters further upstream. As a border river, the Drôme also touches the neighboring department of Manche on its way .
