Dr. Rainer Hildebrandt Medal
The Dr. Rainer Hildebrandt Medal is an international human rights award that was launched in 2004 by Alexandra Hildebrandt to commemorate the 90th birthday of her deceased husband, Rainer Hildebrandt , the founder of the Wall Museum - Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie. Once a year, the award recognizes extraordinary, non-violent, human rights engagement. The award ceremony will take place on Rainer Hildebrandt's birthday on December 14 and on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. The Dr. Rainer Hildebrandt Medal was designed by Matthias Koeppel .
