Dražen Mužinić (born January 25, 1953 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia , today Croatia ), nickname Frfa , is a former Yugoslav football player .
The defensive midfielder belongs to the so-called "golden generation" of the 1970s of the Hajduk Split club and was one of only 5 players from this era (the others are Mario Boljat , Mićun Jovanić , Ivica Matković and Luka Peruzović ), who all four with Hajduk won championship titles during this period . He was particularly known for his great fighting spirit.
Today Mužinić has been working as a scout for Hajduk Split for several years .
Career
society
As a youth, Mužinić was used by Hajduk Split for the first time in the Croatian first division: In the 1969/70 season he played twelve games and scored two goals. In the following years he won four Yugoslav championship titles with Hajduk and was five times cup winner.
From 1980 to 1982 he played for Norwich City in England .
National team
In the Yugoslav national team Dražen Mužinić was used for the first time on April 17, 1974 in the game against the USSR . He played two games each at the 1974 World Cup in Germany and the 1976 European Football Championship in Yugoslavia. In total, the midfielder completed 32 international matches for Yugoslavia and scored one goal.
