Luka Peruzović (born February 26, 1952 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia , today Croatia ) is a Croatian football coach and former football player .
The former defender belonged to the so-called "golden generation" of the 1970s of the Hajduk Split club and is one of only 5 players (the others are Mario Boljat , Mićun Jovanić , Ivica Matković and Dražen Mužinić ) who won all 4 championship titles with Hajduk in won this period. As a player, Peruzović was champion seven times, cup winners five times and won the UEFA Cup in 1983 .
Player career

In the season 1969/70 first used in the first Yugoslav league, Peruzović won with Hajduk in the following years four times the Yugoslav championship title and five times the Yugoslav Cup. In 1980 he moved to RSC Anderlecht in the Belgian First Division , where he was three times Belgian champion and won the UEFA Cup in 1982/83 . From 1986 to 1988 he was again under contract with Hajduk Split.
National team
Peruzović was part of the Yugoslav national team at the 1974 World Cup in Germany , although he had not yet played an international match. He made his debut in the World Cup game against Sweden when he came on in the 78th minute. He was also called up for the 1976 European Football Championship in Yugoslavia and was used in the game against Germany .
In total, he completed 17 international matches for Yugoslavia without scoring a goal.

Coaching career
Peruzović began in 1989 as an assistant coach at Hajduk Split and later was the main coach of the club's first team. He also trained Sporting Charleroi , Standard Liège , KRC Genk and RSC Anderlecht in Belgium, Olympique Marseille in France and Gençlerbirliği in Turkey . He was also the club coach in Saudi Arabia , Qatar and Al-Shaab in 2008 and coach of the Bahraini national team until 2006 . Since October 2009 he has been under contract as head coach at CS Sfax in Tunisia .
