Dragan Stanković ( Serbian : Драган Станковић; born October 18, 1985 in Zaječar , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player .
Career
Stanković began his career in 2001 with a hometown club Timok Zaječar. In 2004 he moved to OK Red Star Belgrade . The following year the middle blocker made his debut in the senior national team , at that time still for the Confederation of Serbia and Montenegro . The national team reached the final of the world league with Stanković and took third place at the European Championship in their own country . The Serbs achieved the same European Championship result in Russia in 2007 . In 2008 the middle blocker with Belgrade became Serbian champions. With the national team he was again in the final of the world league . He then moved to the Montenegrin first division club OK Budvanska Rivijera . There he won the national championship in his first season. In addition, he will experience his third world league final in 2009 . In January 2010, Stanković was committed by the Italian first division club Lube Macerata . At the 2010 World Cup , which took place in his new home, the Serbs finished third after beating hosts Italy . In 2011 Macerata won the Challenge Cup with Stanković . Then he won with the national team at the European Championship again in the final against Italy. In 2012 Macerata was successful in the Italian championship.
