Drago Tršar
Drago Tršar (born April 27, 1927 in Planina near Rakek , Kingdom of Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian sculptor .
Drago Tršar is one of the most important Slovenian modern sculptors with international recognition. His abstract sculptures are shown in numerous exhibitions around the world.
Life
He studied from 1947 to 1951 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana . In 1961 he became an assistant at the academy, in 1967 he became a lecturer and in 1974 professor of the academy. In 1969 he was a co-founder of the artist group "69".
Drago Tršar was a participant in the Venice Biennale (1958) and documenta II in Kassel in 1959 .
Drago Tršar now lives in Ljubljana.
