Dragonas del Instituto Oriente
Dragonas del Instituto Oriente , also known for short as Dragonas de Oriente , is the women's football team of the Instituto Oriente, an educational institution in the Ciudad López Mateos in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza in the state of México .
The Dragonas play their home games either in Atizapán's Ciudad Deportiva Ana Gabriela Guevara or in the Estadio Hugo Sánchez , which is just a few kilometers northeast of the Ciudad López Mateos in Cuautitlán Izcalli .
The dragonas ( dt. Dragons ) went down in the history of Mexican football as Mexico 's first women 's football champions . In the Apertura 2007 they won the championship of the Super Liga Femenil de Fútbol, which was held for the first time in the 2007/08 season . They also won the Supercup final held after the season against the winner of the Clausura 2008 ( second half of the 2007/08 season), Reinas del SUEUM de Morelia , 1-0 after extra time in the second leg in front of their own audience after the first leg ended goalless.
