Mark Dragunski (born December 22, 1970 in Recklinghausen ) is a handball trainer and former German handball player and handball manager. As a circle runner , he scored 174 goals in 117 international matches.
Career
Dragunski was with a body length of 2.14 m, according to the NOK, the longest German Olympic participant at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , where he won the silver medal with the German team.
In the final of the European Championship in 2002 against Sweden Dragunski was substituted on because of his body advantage over the Swedes. He was voted “Player of the Final”.
In the summer of 2008 he ended his career and moved to the management of TUSEM Essen . On December 5, 2008 he was reactivated in the Bundesliga game against HSG Wetzlar by TUSEM Essen, but ended his career as a player in July 2009.
In February 2011 he made his comeback with the state league club HTV Sundwig / Westig, which was limited to the end of the season.
From the 2013/14 season he was the coach of the second division team at TUSEM Essen, after having coached the Essen team's second team in the previous season. In the summer of 2015 Dragunski gave up the coaching position of the second division team and took over the second team again as well as a coaching position in the youth sector. He also worked as a youth coordinator at TUSEM Essen. At the beginning of 2016, he ended his activities at TUSEM Essen and in February 2016 took over the office of youth coordinator and trainer in the youth area at the Neuss AGM .

As the only team in the history of German handball so far, TUSEM Essen with Mark Dragunski managed to march straight through from the regional league to the first handball Bundesliga (season 05/06 - season 07/08).
