Dreamboat Annie (English for: " Traumboot Annie ") is the debut album of the American rock band Heart . It wasfirst released in Canada in1976 on the Mushroom Records labeland is a concept work. From the genre name "hard rock" the two sisters adapted the same word "heart rock" in relation to the group name.

Producer Mike Flicker helped the group develop their sound and land a record deal with the label. The album sold well across Canada, with around 30,000 copies being sold in the first few months. Shortly thereafter, the album was played on the radio in Seattle , and another 25,000 copies were sold in the United States . Heart went platinum in the US and the album went double platinum in Canada. A total of around 1,800,000 units have been sold to date. In 1980 Mushroom Records went bankrupt. The two Heart albums Dreamboat Annie and Little Queen were re-released in 1985 by the Capitol Records label .

The album reached number seven on the Billboard 200 and number 36 in the UK . The first single was How deep it goes (1975) in Canada, and it also contained three hit singles in 1976, Crazy on You (number 35 in the US, 36th place in Canada, 70th in Australia ), Magic Man (ninth in the USA, 26th in Canada, ninth in Australia), as well as in the charts in the Netherlands and Dreamboat Annie (42nd in the USA, 42nd in Canada 53).
