Arcumeggia ( Arcümedschia in Varese dialect) is a fraction of the municipality of Casalzuigno in the province of Varese . This is in Lombardy (Italy).

The place is known because in 1956 the provincial tourism authority turned it into a painting place ( Italian borgo dipinto ). After this decision, various artists such as Ernesto Treccani , Achille Funi , Gianni Dova and Remo Brindisi worked there.

The paintings, which are made using the Affresco technique, are on the outer walls of the town houses.

There is also the painter's house in the village, in which sketches and samples of the frescoes are kept and in which summer courses in painting take place, which are organized by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera .

Arcumeggia is the birthplace of the sculptor Giuseppe Vittorio Cerini (1862-1935), of whom many works are kept in Italy (Torino, Bra, Ceva, San Benigno Canavese, Virle and the province of Varese) and abroad (Switzerland and Argentina). You can visit a small plaster exhibition in the courtyard of the birth house and two marble works in the local cemetery.
