Dreamscape is a progressive metal band from Munich that has existed since 1986.

history

Dreamscape was founded in 1986 by guitarists Wolfgang Kerinnis and Stefan Gassner. After changes to the line- up , singer Tobi Zoltan, drummer Andreas Angerer and bassist Benno Schmidtler were found as permanent members. After a long period of preparation, Dreamscape started with live performances in 1992. After further changes to the band line-up, three demo recordings, Dreamscape , Decisions and Changes were released between 1993 and 1995 . Then the band recorded the first album Trance-like State in 1996 in their own studio , which was released in 1997 by the record label Rising Sun Productions .

The band hired the keyboard player Jan Vacik after the debut album , but this led to artistic differences within the band. Founding member Stefan Gassner and drummer Andreas Angerer left Dreamscape and founded the melodic rock band Dead Men Walking . The release of a second album was delayed because the singer Tobi Zoltan left the band. Hubi Meisel replaced him.

The band played many concerts (with Vanden Plas , Stratovarius , Elegy , Chroming Rose and King's X, among others ) and went on tour in Germany with Axel Rudi Pell . After the Germany tour, Dreamscape released the second album Very in 1999 , which was also released in Japan.

In 2000, singer Hubi Meisel left the band due to musical differences. He was replaced by the former singer Tobi Zoltan, who soon left the band. Between 2001 and 2003 there were further line-up changes until the CD End of Silence was finally released in 2004 . In 2005 the CD Revoiced was released , in 2007 the line-up was changed again and the album 5th Season was released. Between 2007 and 2008 toured Dreamscape with Sieges Even , Circus Maximus and Symphony X . In 2008 Danilo Batdorf replaced drummer Michael Schwager, and the band signed a contract with the record label Silverwolf Productions. In November 2008, Mischa Mang left the band due to musical differences.

The sixth studio album Everlight was recorded with eight singers and one female singer, namely Eric Ez, Frank Marino, Oliver Hartmann, Nando Fernandez, Arno Menses, Roland Stoll, Herbie Langhans , Mike DiMeo and Dilenya Mar. It was released in February 2012.
