Dreckloch was a location in the north of the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal , Elberfeld district . The majority of the population no longer has the name Dreckloch as an independent name for this location.

Location and description

The location is at an altitude of 225  m above sea level. NHN on Hainstrasse at the northeast end of the site of the Bethesda Hospital Wuppertal in the south of the Nevigeser Strasse residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district . Neighboring locations are Hülsbeck , Dorrenberg , Wüstenhof , Am Bredtchen , Lehmbruch , Holländische Heide and Kuckelsberg .

history

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824. It was in the acute angle between the old main road from Elberfeld to Neviges ( Hainstrasse ) and one of it to Kuckelsberg, which is now on the clinic premises.

In 1832 Dreckloch belonged to the Katernberger Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . The place, also categorized as Kotten according to the statistics and topography of the administrative district of Düsseldorf , was designated as am Dreckloch and at that time owned a residential house and an agricultural building. At that time there were 6 people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant. No population is given for 1815/16.
