Kuckelsberg is a location in the north of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal .
Location and description
The location is at an altitude of 213 m above sea level. NHN on Nevigeser Strasse in the south of the residential quarter of the same name Nevigeser Strasse in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district . Neighboring locations are Acker , Amschlag , Am Bredtchen , Lehmbruch , Dreckloch , Herberts Katernberg , Hosfelds Katernberg , Dorrenberg and Hell immediately to the south .

The location is the result of a farm that was mentioned in a document as early as 1565. At this time the farm belonged to the Elberfeld farm association , which was an allod of the Cologne archbishopric and was located in the office and parish of Elberfeld . The farm is listed as Cuculberg on the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715.
In 1815/16 81 people lived in Kuckelsberg. In 1832 Kuckelsberg belonged to the Katernberger Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld. Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place was as afm Kuckelsberg called and had at this time four houses and seven farm buildings. At that time, 76 people lived in the village, nine of them Catholic and 67 Protestant.
In the years 1835 to 1835, today's Nevigeser Straße (Landesstraße 427) between Elberfeld and Neviges was rebuilt as a toll road through the town .
