The Dreetzsee (occasionally also Dretzsee ) is a natural lake in the north of the state of Brandenburg . It is located in the Neulöwenberg district of the Löwenberger Land community ( Oberhavel district ). On the Schmettauschen maps it was called Teschendorfer See . The villages of Teschendorf and Grüneberg lie on the banks of the Dreetzsee .
The Dreetzsee is a lime-rich, unstratified lake on the southern edge of the natural area of the Granseer Platte . Tributaries are the Teschendorfer Graben from the west and the Grüneberger Graben from the north. The drainage takes place in the southeast via the Teschendorfer Graben , which finally flows into the Ruppiner Canal .
The ruins of the medieval Schrabsdorf Castle are on the northwest bank . The Dreetzsee is part of the conservation area, Upper Havelniederung .
