The Löwenberg manor district was reduced in size in 1927 and converted into the rural community of Neulöwenberg in the Ruppin district in 1928 . In 1946, 108 hectares of land were divided up in the Soviet occupation zone as part of the land reform . A first Agricultural Production Cooperative (LPG) was from 1952 to 1953. Since the administrative reform of 1952 belonged to Neulöwenberg circle Gransee the district Potsdam . On January 1, 1957, the community Liebenberg was incorporated into Neulöwenberg. Two new LPGs were founded in 1959 and merged in 1963.

In 1983 the Deutsche Reichsbahn put the decentralized converter plant in Löwenberg into operation in Neulöwenberg . From 1992 to 1997 Neulöwenberg was administered by the Löwenberg Office and has been part of the Oberhavel district since 1993 . On December 31, 1997 the office of Löwenberg was dissolved and Neulöwenberg merged with nine other communities to form the new community of Löwenberger Land.
