The state survey and geographic base information Brandenburg (short: LGB) existed since January 1st, 2002 and is the legal successor of the state survey office Brandenburg . LGB is a state company based in Frankfurt (Oder) . Further offices are located in Potsdam and Prenzlau .

tasks

The company performs the following tasks:

  • Preservation and securing of the height, position and gravity fixed point field and provision of the data in various spatial reference systems
  • Ensuring a permanent satellite-based positioning service for the country
  • Securing and maintaining the state border with Poland and the national borders
  • Solution of basic questions and projects of real estate surveying for the establishment and continuation of the real estate cadastre in the cadastral and surveying offices
  • Carrying out special legal tasks resulting from the property valuation and the technical supervision of the publicly appointed surveying engineers (ÖbVI).
  • Recording of the topographic information about the land surface and its provision in analog and digital form (topographic land survey)
    • Planning and organization of the aerial photography for the purpose of topographical land survey.
    • Management of the state aerial photo archive
    • Acquisition of topographical basic data by evaluating aerial photographs and comparing topographical fields
    • Generation of the digital landscape model (DLM) as the basis of the official topographic-cartographic information system ( ATKIS ) and for the digital derivation of maps and their analog output
    • Processing and provision of the topographic national maps (topographic national cartography)
    • Production of digital topographic maps from digital landscape models and their analog output
    • Derivation of topographical area and special maps
    • Production of thematic national maps on the basis of topographical country, area and special maps in cooperation with other state offices (geology, road systems)
    • Map duplication (offset printing)
    • Informing the public about the results of the national survey, with results available in part by Geoservices within a Spatial Data Infrastructure at
