Trinity Church in Spichra

The Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church is located in the middle of the Spichra district of the Krauthausen community in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The church is located on the Werratal cycle path and is open all year round.

history

From a chapel built around 1626 , the church was built in its present form in 1753 . It has simple jewelry on the inside. The baptismal font from the 17th century bears the coats of arms of those of Buttlar and von Herda . There is a sundial on the south facade .

On April 1, 1945, the church was badly damaged in fighting during the Second World War . It was not until 1958 that the house could be used again.
